Rates listed do not include the following taxes as required by the state of North Carolina: 6.75% State and 6% County Occupancy Tax.
For stays of less than a full week (7 nights), please add a $75 cleaning fee. There are no other fees except where a pet is involved. $100/per pet/week. 2 pet maximum allowed. ($140/pet & cleaning/partial stay-# of pets may increase amount).

Reservations and Payments
Reservations are made by calling 252-441-6729, or emailing Pelicancottagesobx@gmail.com, to verify the availability of the cottage you have chosen. A deposit of 50% of the total cost of your stay is required. Deposits, by check only, can be mailed to: Pelican Cottages, P.O. Box 37, Nags Head, NC 27959-0037. Once the reservation is made, you will have 7 days to forward your 50% advance rent payment to us. (Personal & bank checks are accepted. No credit card payments.)
Make checks payable to Pelican Cottages. There will be a $25.00 service fee for all returned checks. If we do not receive your payment within this timeframe, your reservation is subject to cancellation without notice. Upon receipt of your payment, a confirmation notice will be sent via postal or email to you.
Your final payment will be due 30 days before your arrival. All payments must be made prior to arrival. In the event a reservation is made within 30 days of check-in; the full payment will be due at the time of the booking.
Pelican Cottages rents to family groups only. Anyone misrepresenting themselves as such will be asked to leave without refund.
Cancellation Policy PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Once your reservation is confirmed by payment, you must notify us, either by email or letter, if you are unable to occupy the unit. The guest is responsible for verifying that we have received notice of cancellation. Refunds are available, less a $100.00 service charge, only if the cottage is re-rented. If we are unable to re-rent the property, all payments will be forfeited. Refunds will be made to the guest within 30 days after the subsequent re-rent payment has cleared our accounts.
Guests shall NOT be entitled to any refund or rebate due to illness, acts of nature, unfavorable weather, disruption of utility services, or any other situation occurring not under our control.
THIS INCLUDES HURRICANES AND MANDATORY EVACUATIONS!!
Trip cancellation insurance is highly recommended to protect against unexpected events.
There are many choices for purchasing trip insurance. Look online or contact your travel agent to find a source for purchasing trip interruption insurance. If you need help in finding a company to contact, please notify us. Pelican Cottages WILL NOT GIVE REFUNDS or other compensation, including rescheduling, due to any of the above listed conditions.
